You may joke, but true story:

A couple of years back, I broke my iPhone 5S and resorted to an old 3GS as backup. I was working for a telco at the time and was down the pub with a friend (let’s call him Dave, as that’s his name) who is a stereotypical credulous Apple fanboi. I showed him the 3GS and told him that it was a prototype of the next gen iPhone and Apple were going retro. (not really plausible as Apple don’t tell telcos specs, let alone give prototypes to the employees). He had a bit of a play and lapped it up, nodding sagely and commenting on how retro it was.

Meanwhile, his brother was pissibg himself (he’s less credulous) at how stupid he was.

These numbskulls haven’t a fucking clue what their shiny Apple thing actually is, just buying into the whole marketing thing…
