Viennese gulasch (which is like the Hungarian version, but with added caraway seeds) with home made spetzle fried in butter, sour cream and homemade pickled dill cucumber.

Hungarian goulash uses caraway seeds, and differs chiefly in being a soup as opposed to a stew. There are as many recipes as there are people cooking it, and I’ve had versions with and without onions in Hungary and enjoyed them equally.
