Chrome cast audio update - I have just bought a digital out adaptor so that I could check whether the onboard DAC is limiting in my setup.
My £500 Jolida DAC might just sound a little sweeter but frankly I’m struggling to tell any difference at all -Bass from the Chromecast sounds no different to the Jolida- Aside from a series of annoying dropouts on my first evening - Where local internet kept falling over signal coherence from the CC has been faultless. It all sounds so nice that currently I wondering if I should ditch vinyl completely

That’s good to hear, I haven’t tried a DAC with my CC yet, and really want to keep the box count down in this system. To my ears the CC sounds pretty good.
