AA Election Night Special

Truss on a knife edge

I was going to go back to bed after the election was won, but will have to wait for Truss

Yeah, I have to admit with her it’s personal.
Her budget royally shafted my pension.

Birmingham Yardley hasn’t declared yet either.
Hope Jess Phillips gets back in, but big Gaza influenced vote there

Morning all.

It’s taken a while to scroll through this lot.

Not quite the firestorm I was hoping for, but I’ll take it.

Witney gain for Lib Dems in Cameron’s old seat. Very happy with that here!

Esther McVey held on in Tatton

Simon Clarke, Jacob Young, Mercer :+1:

Cleverley holds on though

On reflection, it’s hard to have much in the way of ā€˜Portillo Moments’ when the entire cabinet is a bunch of barely-recognisable ephemeral nonentities and serial head-wobblers who wandered in off the street and fell-asleep on the front-benches…

Faintly annoyed the tories have scraped into 3-figures, but very pleasing to see the LibDems exceed their exit poll prediction.

At least looks like Reform might only get 4 seats rather than the 13 of the exit poll!

Much chumbling that they may get Liz Truss’s seat in SW Norfolk, but that could be it.

They have attracted WAY too many votes all over - 3.8 million - half a million more than the LibDems - albeit many of them effectively protest votes against the tories.

Priti Patel sticks like :poop: to a blanket… Look at that insufferably smug face…

Working in schools, I can only offer advice on avoiding a door/backside interface on exit.

Labour just hit 400 :star_struck:

Truss probably lost her seat and not turned up

Can’t wait for that to be confirmed
