Yay! Second…
I can just about bring myself to post the final round results (and I have returned from holiday )
The crown was shared by five players @sjs, @stu, @TonyTheHat, @Adpully, @murrayjohnson, while the wooden spoon was shared by four player, @malbec, @unclepuncle, @pmac and @Pan
I will leave you all to consider any questions around patriotism or pragmatism
Overall the coronation of @stu is now confirmed following the blistering set of results in the quarter finals which effectively won the league. Congratulations
@htm_1968 came in 2nd and @murrayjohnson took 3rd. @malbec just beat off @unclepuncle to claim the overall wooden spoon
That’s all from the Euros, and the end of the predictor game for the time being.
EPL resumes on Friday 16th August when Man Utd host Fulham, if anybody is up for another run at this
Thanks Simon for all your efforts. I’ve signed up for the new season already.
Glad to see I’m in such exalted company.
Free the Euros Four
You should all be relegated to some kind of Predictor ‘Championship’ and only be allowed to predict the outcomes of Championship matches.
There is a Championship predictor, should you, or possibly @Pilgrim, so wish
Ready for the new season!
Think I’ve just joined for the new PL season.
How do you enter the AA one ?
details sent via pm
I’ve signed up again, probably for another season of mid-table obscurity.
Can’t believe my lack of correct scores.
Premier League 23/24: 380 Games - 19 correct scores
Euro 24: 51 Games - 1 correct score
Could just predict 1-1 for every game now and sit back and achieve mid-table respectability - but where’s the fun in that.
As EtH at the end of next season
Only three days to go before Man Utd and Fulham kick off the 24-25 EPL season
Please let me know if you want to join for the upcoming season
Yes please
Pointless anyone joining as I am a certainty to win it given my unparalleled knowledge of football (and everything else).
Most definitely
Yes I’ll join thanks. Dunno if I’ve got the attention span for a full season but will give it a go.
Malbec and I already vying for relegation.
Same old, same old,
2024/25 EPL kicked off last weekend, and Round 1 was smashed by @murrayjohnson with 18.5 points from @pan & @Ijrussell on 16 points. The first wooden spoon of the season was collected by @malbec with 6 points from @unclepuncle on 8 points.
Early days, but a strong start from @murrayjohnson to lead into Round 2.
Round 2 leads out with Brighton hosting Man Utd at 12.30pm on Saturday, and concludes with Liverpool v Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
