At one point Jim was a blob with a comedy head plonked on top…

A beautiful snapshot of the audiophile community.

Beards anonymous.

And Ritchie’s George Smilie glasses homage.

It took a few minutes to really get going, but soon accelerated to full on lunacy.

Murder
Broadmoor
Making coats from human skin
Car woes
The impending apocalypse
Jim swallowing a specehopper…

Among other interesting subjects of discussion

Amazed that it went on for over three hours, seemed to pass by much quicker than that. Bring on the next one :+1:

It was an eye opener and some of the topics were hilarious!

I think I booked Tuesday at 8pm as they said something about it being free if I did that straight away.

It’s normally limited to 40 minutes for free I think. Could use another platform if it becomes too annoying.

it is - which is why we are running 40 min lectures using the free version.

What other platforms are good? Anyone used any? Skype?

Messenger?

Doesn’t do conferences, just direct video chats I think.

Looks like Skype, Google Hangouts and Cisco Webex Meetings are the best alternatives.

We might be able to rotate the host in Zoom and get everyone to use their free one-off upgrade, but I think that most people were on wifi. It’s probably much better performance if the host is wired and on fast internet.

House party? not sure how many users can be online ?

It will mostly be about upstream bandwidth. Most WiFi should be much higher than the WAN limits anyway.

Don’t know if it’s P2P with the host just controlling or if everything is routed via the host.

Hangouts is good. Use it at work daily
