This one for me

As always I took loads and it will take multiple passes before I decide on one I like.

Then I will come back and decide I was wrong and prefer something else.

What is this thing, transparent water like sack with some sort of grub inside. The tree had 6 or 7 of them hanging off different leaves

Tchoh! Pump-action shotty is a bare minimum for a doggo walk!

Interesting. Must admit, I’ve no idea. Reminds me of what froghopper bugs do - so-called “cuckoo spit”.

Was very tempted to poke one and see how tough the layer was.
I did a small video, it makes them look more translucent than transparent as they are to the eye.

Looks like the badger*

…and I thought all caddisflies laid directly into water!

*protip, these are probably not baby badgers…

Nice spot. That’s been bugging me this morning.

Good shout, it was right next to the river

Strand was once a thriving croft on the island, this imposing house was the centrepiece.

Always strikes me when seeing these remnants, the amount of change that occurs in relatively short periods of time.

They can always be renovated while the roof is intact, once that goes they deteriorate extremely quickly and become beyond economic repair in very short order.

There is a property called Still. It was abandoned when the owners died, the son who inherited it just locked the doors - with all of the furniture inside. It survived for many years until the roof finally gave way about 3 yrs ago. It’s a complete ruin now. It’s in a fantastic setting and could have been made into a lovely home.
