You doing much stacking or is the lens doing the heavy lifting?

Only this one is stacked.

What does “stacked” mean?

Multiple pictures taken at different focal lengths and then combined via software.

Good skills and one hell of a lens then they’re great pics :ok_hand:

They are having a hard time of it nowadays…endangered species now.. I’m sad to say.

Last summer I had to take two young uns to the hedgehog rescue lady near me…she’s an angel and runs a small hospital for them.

Both these two were dehydrated and had roundworm and other parasites. They both were brought back to good health and a good weight …then taken back and released by me where they came from . Unfortunately another one I took in did not survive.

Basically a hedgehog shouldn’t be out in the daytime…if they are and look lethargic they are in trouble…with the possible exception of a mum struggling to feed the kids …if she legs it when you walk away …or she’s quick and doesn’t look lethargic then she’s good.

Please check online for advice and help the hogs.

Its an interesting system for macro. Its an Olympus OM-1 (em1-ii would probably work nearly as well) with the 60mm macro and a flash in a fancy diffuser. The lens was all of £300.

The small sensor size and high pixel density really lend themselves to macro, and its nice and compact.

I stupidly called the rspca when I had an injured hog I found on my drive. They spun me a lot of shit and put the wee fella down. I subsequently learned a broken leg wasn’t the death sentence they made out and multiple other agencies would have tried to rehabilitate it. Hence why I cancelled all donations to them and have redirected my modest donations to more local charities. Bunch of cunts!

How many images did you combine for this?

10 maybe? Didn’t pay much attention. There’s a lot of overlap so you could probably do it with less.

Great pic. Interesting species, too.

Bad phone photo of two Rose Chafers getting it on.

Love the macro photos Edd!

Just a phone snap of the peaceful view from our early morning dog walk.
