If you’re in Tignes, I would strongly encourage you to pay a visit to Le Panoramique. The views are supposed to be stunning (it was entirely engulfed in cloud when I went), but the food is sublime.

Edit for info: this is known in NZ as Werewere Kokako, or the pink-gilled entoloma; or, unsurprisingly, the blue mushroom.
It’s on one of the Department of Conservation tracks about 15 minutes out of Rotorua; we saw at least a couple of dozen of them.
