Periscope of the new Aussie stealth sub?

Shifting 50mp at those rates with that AF is definitely pixel power  I’ll be interested how it goes for you Paul; I’ve seen some incredible bird shots from the A1 users and it looks like the mutts.

My Nikon D850 is old school these days but I can’t quite bring myself to go over to the mirrorless darkside yet, too much like computerised shooting for me… the D9 might be the one that tips me over, but I still prefer the OVF for birding.

It’s an arms race on the AF front for sure - the new Canon R3 has eye autofocus, which looks interesting, but probably ain’t gonna work well for Willow Warblers any time soon ha ha.

Well the first thing that hit me was… they’ve changed the menus from the A7Riv :grimacing:

Sooo, today was a bit hit and miss. Changing settings here and there, I don’t think I hit on exactly the right combination but I concede that will take time. I’ve made more changes to the custom set up this evening and tomorrow go again.

The autofocus is lightning quick and the tracking works as it should, so I should get the results I need with more practice - and probably more adjustments in the menu!

Fantastic image with an almost water pastel quality to it.

Thanks…Good, I was trying to evoke the feel of the old BR posters.
