Not sure which I prefer, or works better

Taken on a bike ride with FoL during first lockdown. The deadwood boughs pointing yonder remind me of how we just pointed our bikes and rode all day.

It’s nice cropped to include the tree on the right :+1:

It’s a lovely photo Gareth - I love fallen trees they always add a bit of mystery to a photgraph.

Unfallen trees :grinning:

Busy woodpeckers . . .

You can see the “tool marks” left by the beak in less weathered holes . . .

Yesterday’s walk was westbound out and eastbound home. Fortunately something made me turn round and look backwards just as your sunset was floating past

That’s raw from the phone cam (apart from a bit of cropping) and, as always, it doesn’t do the spectaculaour luminous colours justice.

I had trees too, two of which needed sawing off the path, the second presenting a more than 2ft high barrier. Difficult decision - to be public-spirited and set about it, but be more than half an hour late at the pub, or to clamber over/through and head straight for the beer. I went for the beer, but once that was over and done I headed back and dealt with the tree.

Is there supposed to be a theme, or just any photos we would like to share? If the latter, here are a few of mine.

Any photos that you have actually taken yourself go in this thread, there is no theme.
Photos by other people and random images from the internet go in the ‘Any Old Pics’ thread

Where’s the half timbered place over the water?

Your stalking abilities are on the wane??

I’m going to give you a run for your money next week!!

Slough?

Very good. I’d have guessed somewhere on the Loire

It was thrown in as an oddity as the others are all obviously Redcar and its surroundings.

I’d say Runcorn

Not rustic enough, although it is reminiscent of the Hobbit Sanctuary near the Runcorn Station.

apparently Le Vieux Moulin on a Medieval Bridge across the River Seine, Vernon, Eure, Normandy, France.
