Surprised to find that the Sony fits inside of my (42 years old) Billingham bag with the lens and the 1.4x t/c attached. Just had to reverse the lens hood.

Messing around with settings and trying to find the optimum set up for what I want to do. Certainly not there yet but it’s early days and I’ve got loads of other tweaks to do.
Got to say tho’ even the average shots are coming out half decent with this system.

Most stuff I do with the camera these days is ‘workmanlike’ but I was pleased how the shots for the Focal Clear MG came out;

They honestly look even better in the metal. I can see Focal selling a bucketload of them.
Do they sound as good as they look?
I think they’re outstanding; for me, only the Fostex TH-909 is on the same pitch under £2k. They can do the ‘not there’ trick that the HD800S and Grados can do but they’re more sensitive than the former, vastly more comfortable than the latter and better looking than either.
