Apparently they discovered a back injury when he was having his medical and he’s staying at Anfield until it gets sorted.
Hopefully he’ll be fit for the run in, we need cover in all areas.
Our two specialist left wingers* are both injured - Mundle & Watson - and we only have one decent #9 in Isidor. Any injuries to Bellingham or Neil and we’ll be struggling. Danns sounds like he could play in midfield or up front which would be a huge plus.
*Le Fée has been playing left wing when he’s really a central midfielder. We have an option to buy but only IF we win promotion (£19m) He’s Premiership class from what I’ve seen and last night he was the difference between the two sides.

I did read (on some L’pool site) that he can also play in midfield but that may be just bollocks 
Never realised that Kenny burns was originally a striker,and only became a defender when he went to forest.

There were strong rumours he was coming to ours at the beginning of the season when we had Rooney but injury scuppered it. ( if it was ever going to happen. )
A little bit jealous if he’s as good as everyone says.
Used to watch him as a no9 at Birmingham & he was pretty effective (& scary) Was surprised he was able/willing to change position.
Was he there at the same time as Francis?
No. I saw Francis playing in his teens alongside Bob Latchford at No9. As a youngster Francis was amazing, incredibly quick & skillful. I’d guess Kenny Burns was there more like 76-78? I think Peter Withe also did a stint at Birmingham but he always seemed clumsy then.
Edit: looking them both up it seems that Burns was there with Francis, he left in 77, Francis in 79. I can’t remember the pair playing together at Birmingham but I would have seen them.

Saw Francis at the end of his playing days at sheff wed v Watford. Was surprised at his work rate even that late in his career
Just had a look at his playing career,was at Birmingham from 70-77 Burns 71-79.
Didn’t realise Francis was only at forest for 2 years
