All the Football (Part 2)

Sunderland played well.

Emery has locked himself into a play pattern that has been sussed and won’t change it.

Not sure he’s going to swing just yet. I don’t think they can get anyone else! Who would want it? The board must be a nightmare to work with. The squad is thin, with no leaders and is generally small in stature; it was very noticeable that Palace had more power/athleticism on Saturday. Their confidence seems shot now. Both strikers are in their thirties, and Fullkrug is never going to make it in the Prem’, not ever. Too easily bullied, paceless and near perma injured anyway. Word is, that Sullivan wants to employ someone until the end of the season… :person_facepalming:

There are specialists for that role (and you have previous)

Slaven Bilic seems to be the possibility…

Nuno?

I have a feeling he wants elsewhere. He’d be my choice. His Wolves and Forest teams played a practical game, but with flair.

Nuno is apparently too expensive (may be a block tactic from him to swerve the job?).
The interim rumour is probably because the right person is currently employed elsewhere?

So one would need a compensation payout but the other is available but too expensive?

The Brighton hat trick is a collector’s edition worldie.

As for Saints, they miss a double sitter then get knobbled on a keeper derp.

(Make that a four bagger).

Why are players still penalised for taking a shirt off??

It’s a crazy rule and I have no idea why it still exists.

Money money money.

Looks like Mark Ghuehi’s price just went up.
Sad news that Giovanni Leoni has an ACL tear.

VVD better not get injured!

Root of all evil

Fans of a certain vintage (i.e. every fucker here) may enjoy the Telescore app for your phones, which basically gives you a Ceefax interface and really fast access to scores, tables etc. No gambling ads, no distractions and a bit of nostalgia to boot.

Not a big footy fan, but love that. Just downloaded and it took me right back. Someone should do Expedia in Teletext holiday listings mode. Page 1 of 14532355334

In the day’s least surprising news, Potter’s gone.

They must have found another mug.
