Today in ā€œquality BBC journalismā€, an ex-footballer does not do anything.

Running on empty tonight. Could have easily been 6 or 7

Need to rest a few key players for the cup tie against Everton and with the AFCON players back get a fit and fresh squad ready for the Palace, West Ham & Burnley games.

We’re down to the bare bones and with Keane and Grealish suspended I reckon you’ll be fine

I’m fully expecting us to field a very weak starting XI for the cup tie.

I won’t be particularly upset if we don’t progress.

Pretty dour game. I’m fairly sure Liverpool will be happy with a point though.

Martinelli wants punting into a furnace for that incident with Bradley. Cunt!

Turned his ankle but clutched his knee.

Probably torn a cruciate. He had a good game and was cropping up in the box a few times. They will need Salah back if Frimpong drops to cover. Gomez just can’t deliver in the other half as a full back.

The nature of the injury is irrelevant, it’s Martinelli’s reaction to a player in obvious distress that pissed me off.

That’s fair enough but players con the ref constantly. The worst if feigning a head injury in the box when they’re under a bit of pressure. They all do it.

It’s not Martinelli’s job to cosplay a forklift truck. Dickhead behaviour.

Throws a ball at him, then sticks a knee in his back, then hauls him around. Behaviour all driven by that legohead weirdo Arteta. If Dark Arts FC are that bothered about time wasting they should probably look at why it takes them 4 to 5 minutes to take a corner or a free kick.

Poor sod, foot planted on the ground and his knee continued to twist. A common and bloody painful injury if its a medial collateral ligament thats gone. Martinelli quite rightly should be ashamed of his actions, especially given his own expertise in shithousery. I would imagine Bradley will be out for a considerable time given that connective tissue has a diminished blood supply and healing takes rest and time, regardless of medical intervention. Just hope I’m wrong.

Cameroon 0-0 Morocco

Only 20 mins in but the shithousery is off the scale. Every single tackle results in somebody writhing in agony, players confronting each other and arguing with the ref

I’ll be amazed if there isn’t a red card or two.

What a game!

Wrexham deserved that

Could have done without extra time but we should have won it in 90 mins.

Roefs saved 3 pens

Macclesfield :+1:

Terrific performance from Man City this afternoon. If only Exeter had broken the rules regarding funding 115 times or so they might, over time, have also been able to build a club that could attract, keep & pay the best players. Still, at least City are helping them a little, giving them an increased share of the receipts from ticket sales. Might help towards the rebuilding of a bit of St James Park that was recently damaged by fire. Oh, they aren’t? That’s a pity. Never mind, on to the 4th round.

I’ve been out and about today so didn’t keep track of the scores. While I was delighted with Excretia getting spanked I can’t help thinking it showed a bit of a lack of class from Man City. Flat track bullies type of thing. Don’t know :man_shrugging:t2:
Wonder if excretia publicly putting pressure on city to give them the gate receipts backfired ?

As far as the Palace result , is it really the biggest upset of all time ? Years ago the top teams would play near full strength teams , now it’s 7 or 8 changes. A lot of them youngsters.

They still can, they just choose not to. No sympathy whatsoever from me.

We ā€˜rested’ four players who started our last Premier League tie and if we had lost I would have had the same lack of sympathy.

Oh totally agree with you. It’s disgusting the way the Fa cup has been reduced to what it is. No sympathy whatsoever with any of them. I just think it’s less of a shock nowadays when half of the prem team bosses are almost glad to to go out of it. If someone gave me the choice of having our win over Liverpool last season in the Fa cup or not getting relegated from the championship . I’d have take the fa cup and still would.
Surely the players want an Fa cup win as their legacy rather than looking back and being able to say they finished 4th in the league .

This has been my most enjoyable weekend so far this season. We got knocked out in the first round against Wycombe.
