All the Football (Part 2)

I’ve pretty much given up on football for two reasons.

  1. VAR
  2. I’m a Palace supporter
  3. VAR

(I’ll never give up on football because it’s The Beautiful Game, but VAR has shat on it so much.
I really am not looking forward to what the WC is going to bring )

Yeah, that’s a penalty in my book. I’ve seen quite a few fouls like this recently which are not shoulder to shoulder but nothing given.

We’ve had some ridiculous decisions go against us but I’ve also disagreed with a couple of penalties given to us for hand ball, which were clearly not what I would call hand ball.

Also, I’m getting a bit sick of both teams on corners preferring to wrestle instead of watch for the ball and go to try and win it.

VAR has killed football as a spectator sport in the ground, it’s like getting edged / coitus interruptus from middle aged men from Stockley Park.

The corruption and bullshit rules that destroy competition through skewed revenues before they changed the rules pulling up the ladder is the main reason football has gone imo. And the plastic / tourist fans who turn up, create no atmosphere/ don’t sing and then take to social media afterwards to exchange micro aggressions

Sew a button on that, you won’t see many more unconvincing 5-2 wins.

Summerville probably the best player on the pitch

TV rights money killed the game way before VAR fcked it up even more.

I think we’ll struggle to hang on to him even if we stay up. On fire at the moment.

Very hard worker too. I know a Liverpool fan who followed him when he was at Leeds and was desperate for us to go in for him at the time.

Yes, he has a very strong game. He didn’t fit in with Lopetegui. The word is that Sullivan bought him in over his head. He was injured for a lot of Potter’s tenure, and neither of them had much trust in him. Nuno is getting the best out of him though. We are still in massive trouble, but right now, he is giving us a tiny bit of hope… :smiling_face_with_tear:

Tottenham are in a dangerous position.
Just been through the last games for forest spurs and whu.

Spurs have the best chance of getting 10-12 pts
Whu and forest id say between 8-11pts each.

It could come down to the last game where whu at home to Leeds and forest at home to Bournemouth. Of course many teams will be on the beach for the last five games so who knows.

And going by my prediction skills this season, the above is probably nonsense.

Well that’s the mythical 40 pts under the belt.

Ravaged with injuries but it will be interesting to see what we can manage over the last 9 matches.

Yes, a seriously good shot

Villa’s end of season collapse in form continues

It’s a weird season all round for standing on rakes, clangers and attritional football,

Still, we’ve got a World Cup being held in America to look forward to.

How can we wring a few more quid out of the media & fans? Oh yeah, let’s involve the teams that finish seventh and eighth in the Championship.

Might as well just divide the league in two and then have two more leagues for promotion/relegation. I’m sure with a bit of effort we can get teams playing 80 games a season which could last 11 months. Perfect.

I’m starting to think there’s only so much you can get out of Smith’s side.

Our transfer policy has been pretty wasteful. Not sure relying on Buendia and Bailey will get you in the top 4. If someone had told me 12 months ago that our january transfer window would bring back Bailey/Luiz/Abraham I would have thought I had gone through a Bobby Ewing style time travel dream.
