That’s utterly fantastic - I have been to the valley just once and also had a great day. It was only 52 years and 5 days ago - Seeing The Who, Maggie Bell, Lou Reed Bad company etc - Was also a extremely hot day - Tickets were just £2.50 - Fish and Chips a massive rip off at £0.50.

I was watching her pre match with the goal keeping coach firing some really hard shots at her. She wasn’t letting anything by so I was thinking they’ll need some pretty good penalties to beat her. Maybe it was 120 minutes in the heat as well that sapped them of some energy but she dealt well with all but one.
There were also some shenanigans where the Leicester keeper threw Sophie’s water bottle into the stand behind (it had the names of the penalty takers & ways to go on it. Fortunately someone on Charlton’s staff recovered it. This was a bit like what Hannah Hampton (England’s gk, did to the Spanish keeper at the last Euro Final).
Charlton will need to strengthen this summer. They’ve been short of effective strikers all season finding goals quite hard to come by. They did try to get a couple in during the new year transfer window but both deals fell through. Even today they had the usually capable Left Back playing up front because of injuries elsewhere.
Just glad they got it done. I don’t think I’ve ever been at such a tense match, especially the penalties. Aged about 10 years!

Just come back home from a few local pubs.
Quite surprising the amount of (Leeds Fans) wanting us to lose today. Grown men in a 80’s shirts to be fair. I hope we get three points, West Ham getting relegated is not our problem.

Losing 3-0 to a relegated team is not how I wanted this season to end. I’m sure that West Ham will come straight back up. As a old season ticket holder, I do find myself wondering if this football was the reason I first fell in love with the game.
