Just publicising this in case of anyone in the Stourbridge area wishes to attend. It’s not often that you get the chance to hear a massive pair of vintage Altecs. I wish I lived nearer.

Well, I am bringing some of my front room over to play with the Altecs on Thursday 
. The reel decks and a lot of records.
I’ve heard those speakers in a fairly modest space and they do sound just as good as you might imagine.

Since hearing this pair I’ve been pondering the idea of sourcing a similar pair just for Lopwell etc duties.

Mine have multi issues. They’ve been sat in the corner for a few years so I probably should do something
Similar is the key word. It could include a broader scope of say getting a clone of this kind of speaker made or design and build something that has a similar sound presentation.
yeah i’d love to hear some big altec horns. I’ve only ever heard them in noisy crowded trendy bars.
