Ive not been a fan for a long time but switching to Macbook has been a good experience.
I’m probably just a bit Luddite, most people I know who have iPhones literally love them. I had my s20 absolutely finessed to my taste and I just can’t get my iPhone there, but I might just have to accept that it’s just different.
The notch at the top of the screen on my 14 is an absolute cunt though, I find it really distracting whilst browsing. The 15’s is smaller, but still big compared to the little black dot of the Samsung.
Im using dark theme so that whole area is black, makes it less obvious i guess.
Dark mode on iPhone
The bottom bit can be collapsed (as in my previous photo), but when you do there’s literally no difference between it and not dark mode.
I hate it even more now.
If I didn’t have to pay for it for the next 2 1/2 years, I’d sell it and get an S23.
Is that safari?
Chrome behaves the same?
Yeah Safari, never bothered with chrome, because safari is admittedly very good, the dark grey bit in the above photo is very pale grey in light mode, not so annoying.
I’ll download chrome tomorrow (well, later today) and see if it’s different if you want?

Ok, I already had chrome installed, just never bothered setting it up, this is dark mode on the phone settings , not the browser, if browser dark mode is a thing? Obvs different to Safari though:

To be fair, the 15s selfie thingy is a little nascar track thingy, a lot less intrusive
This is a std 128gb 15, from the Apple Store, the memory capacity doesn’t affect the appearance, and the pro & max versions have the same nascar shape

Had a bit more of a play.
They’re pretty much identical, the top bit is static and the bottom navigation bar collapses when you scroll up, and reappears when you scroll down.
The chrome one is smaller, and that’s the only real difference.
02:44 on a Sunday morning and I’m comparing browsers on a soon to be obsolete phone. I think Ed @Tons_of_fun should recommend me for a job as a Real World Reviewer doing Real Reviews for Real People in the Real World.

Hmm, that seems a bit poor really. If ive got a large screen phone i want to use it all, not have a navbar overlaying it.
And i hate insomnia 
It might be different on the 15, but I doubt it, they’re on the same OS. I suppose the only way to be sure is to go to a shop and have a play.
