Only one chip?
What did those poor eggs do to deserve that treatment?
I cooked them in the big griddle pan I used for the steak after taking the steak out to rest and they just spread out all over the bottom.
Still tasted good.
Old eggs
Well in date but I bow to your superior knowledge.
Is that an arrow through your beanburger? At what range did you bring it down?
Iām blind as a bat so I just walked up and shot it point blank in the back.
Old age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill.
I liek bean burgers.
Donāt believe you my Canadian moose munching friend. My missis has been veggie for 30 years and even she hates bean burgers, they are all shite.
No, is true.
Has to be home made or from a restaurant that actually makes them and doesnāt buy in frozen just to have something vegan on the menu.
Frozen, I agree. Awful, just fucking loaded with sodium (like most storebought vegan/veg food)
The vegan and veggie offering in this place turned out to be more comprehensive than the meat. I have no idea why, but it was a pleasant surprise.
I read somewhere that the average egg bought in a supermarket is 14 days old.
Aye. They donāt like it up 'em.
I can well believe it - the difference between a supermarket egg and one thatās properly fresh is quite substantial.
@unclepuncle thereās a massive gap between when an egg can be eaten from a hygiene perspective (surprisingly long shelf life) vs when itās optimal for things like fried and poached eggs, where you want them as fresh as possible.
Basically as the egg gets older, the whites get runnier. A super fresh egg it will pretty much all hold in a contained space around the yolk, and as they get older, that contained section will get smaller and smaller, and the flow outwards will get bigger.
I almost wish I never tasted a truly fresh egg. Itās not like supermarket eggs are inedible, just disappointing in comparison
Thatās why we get a supply from our neighbours
