Very pleased with the sound of mine! I know that the MWS/NAGAD’s is monstered in every way by Jim’s new one but listened to in isolation, you wouldn’t think there is much wrong with it. I have been away all week but since getting back this morning I have been playing LP after LP. Best sound I have had yet.

You’re probably right Wayne. Maybe it’s time to sell the Nagra and set up some sort of streaming. Then I could free up some storage space for more vinyl in my listening room.
Thing is, I’ve not yet heard anything producing noughts and ones that betters the Nagra, so there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of matching the quality of the vinyl with a streamer.
Fuck it, maybe I should go vinyl only…

Get Tidal through a decent but not silly streamer. Would really complement a mostly vinyl system.

My CD player sounds fantastic since I rolled the tubes that came with the unit. I put Mullard tubes in to replace the existing cheapo ones and the change was more warmth and less bright in the treble. The Totaldac DAC and Clocker are no longer used.
There is still good music that is CD only unfortunately.

You’ve proper fucked your CDP with how stellar your vinyl front end sounds

Streaming good for sampling new material that if you really like it you can then go buy on black disc
