Was thinking of picking this up along with Ian Carr’s Belladonna.

Worth getting both G superb stuff.

The Neil Ardley album is just remarkable and with added Ivor Cutler . I love the cover of Belladonna as it’s disguised as a lost 60’s folk/psych classic until you play it

Brit jazz is one of the best rabbit holes to disappear down as there is an enormous amount of great albums but it can get spendy. @Ruprecht and @vacdac have much more knowledge than me so can spend more of your hard earned

It’s worthwhile picking up a copy of this comp as it’s a very good intro - some great tracks on it.

This is an excellent compilation; got into British Jazz via British Transport Films- some of the music on these was next fucking level!

These two really shone a light on the British Jazz thing in the early 2000’s both helped to inflate a bubble (Both feature some of the best British Jazz (Mostly Modal) They were put together by Tony and Giles P. Tony is also responsible for the journeys in Modern Jazz comp above.
