Yeah they’re both superb compilations there’s also the Jazzman compilations - A New Life Vols I & II which are a bit more off beat but great as well.

I have three of the four record series on vinyl. Can’t remember for the life of me why I didn’t get the fourth.

For some reason I didn’t get Vol 3.
They were issued by Diverse records and were never repressed which makes them all fairly expensive now.
Diverse also offered a box which was sold separately, so you could make up your own boxed set (I didn’t buy that either 
)
Very rarely do you see the four and the box come up for sale.
