Just wondering what fans of Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac thought the first time they cued this up and Monday Morning came on
Something like WTF! They’re all dead to me 
I really liked some of the Buckingham/Nicks stuff, once I’d stopped grieving and comparing the music with the PG era.
Two (very) different bands.
I find the story of FM endlessly fascinating, with the different dynamics within the band etc., and you can hear this all being played out on the records makes it all the more joyful.
The way Buckingham announces himself by bookending this album is intruiging, while a playing a support role in the middle.
Completely.
To lose Green, Spencer and then Kirwan in such a short space of time was the end of FM as I knew them but recruiting Buckingham & Nicks was a masterstroke commercially.
Buckingham became the *new Peter Green.
*as in driving the course of their output - not musically.
