Surely Toyah was part of the New Wave rather than Punk ?

The most disgusting beer ever inflicted upon my delicate taste buds came from that brewery. Nice photo, shame about the shit beer.

Also, It has been 1953 in Adelaide since 1953. In about 20 years time they’ll pass a local ordinance and it will be 1963 for about 70 years. Expect miniskirts, deplorable dentistry and mop tops* everywhere.

*or mullets.

That is the home of Southwark Bitter isn’t it? Or is it the other shit beer from Adelaide?

They were two separate brewers until 1983. They were joined by the acquisition of the two by Southern Breweries. Southwark Bitter went from the Green Death to a dark blue label. Also the recipe changed to West End Bitter with less bitterness.

Bitter water basically.

I remember that, I had stopped buying NME before 1982 though as it was shit. So were the Banshees by then.

Even calling her New Wave is being generous. She was in Jubilee though.

Gene Snow visited Adelaide International Raceway in the 70s with a AA Fuel Dragster.
Great show with exhaust flames and sparks from “wheely bars”…

Just love pershore , spent many hours there and recently had the privelige of attending one of the finest care homes ever near there in Bricklehampton. Got some lovely trees in my garden from Pershore agricultural college shop . The abbey is full of history and the local GP surgery excellent

Still got one in Strood, just before the bridge into Rochester.
