Technically it’s superb.
For me it lacks something, a focal point.
Something, anything, on that road. A dog, an abandoned bike, a kid walking home, just something to take the eye.

My grandad worked in Boston for the railway - he was a painter. At some point (maybe towards the end of WWII, or just after) he was part of a team painting a bridge - this one, I think
when the rigging gave way and he fell into the Witham. He hit something on the way down and broke several ribs. His mates got him out of the water and he was taken to hospital but he developed pneumonia there and that, in turn, somehow damaged his heart. Angina meant he never had a ‘proper’ job again. A silver lining, for us, was that he had free time to look after my sister and me when we were very young but my mum was still working. He was a lovely man - caring and gentle. He died of a massive heart attack when he was just 63.
