I became quite excited but then saw the “Vintage Reproduction” tag.

I became quite excited when I saw the price.
Not bad for donated items

Yep, all multi instrument players and three of them top vocalists

You haven’t lived until you’ve experienced the breathtakingly rude service at the Wong Kei in Soho :laughing:

I’m sure it’s changed but in the 80s it was legendary for the staff cussing absolutely everybody up and down. Absolute national treasure.

You’ve either lived life well beyond your years or you are a lot older than you look :thinking:

1985-87 to be specific. I’m 57 :man_shrugging:

:scream: I was sure you were younger than I. Having said that, I am well-weathered for 56.

Fuck, erring to the second option, though the first is also true :thinking:

Many nights in the late 80s early 90s ended in Chinatown (not at Sai Woo) after the bars turned out at 2:00am.
Fond memories of Singapore Noodles and “cold tea”. “Cold tea” was beer served in grotty old opaque plastic pitchers and glasses so observers from the street couldn’t see that the restaurant was serving liquor after hours.
Not so fond memories of the other option; sketchy as fuck unlicensed non fire code back alley “night clubs”. Even in my fucked up state the “if a panic breaks out everyone in here is dying” vibes were strong

Happy memories - was at UCL from 84-88 and made it to Wong Kei a few times. The dialogue normally went:
HOW MANY? (Answer)
UPSTAIRS! (Pause to read menu)
WHAT YOU WANT?!
:rofl::joy::rofl:

I think the waiters must have all gone to some kind of special Really Bloody Rude Academy.
