Any old Pics - replicating google images, one post at a time (Part 2)

In comparison to the orthopedic / cataclysmic abortions suggested (and worn) in Dr. Cunty’s emporium of eyesore Sid is positively dapper here.

One of the many imports the UK has made from the US. It’s nice to see the English really making it their own.

Few years ago I went with my old man on a Saturday to put flowers on his mum’s (my nan) grave and the graveyard was full of harleys and as we went in a fuck load of smelly, 7ft tall Hell’s Angels were there. There must have been at least 50+ of them

My old man who rode bikes from 15 > 60 went straight over and started looking at the bikes. Having watched sons of anarchy I expected him to get some light bruising.

Turned out it was the funeral for the president of the UK Hell’s Angels and they were the nicest blokes. They were very polite when my old man told them he used to ride Francis Barnetts years ago.

Bit like Brit Funk then

A Cymande gig with security from the Shag rats just hit my fantasy gig top ten.

In the early 90s I went to see a mate who was doing his third degree (not sure if he ever left Academia) and we were in a Student pub in Coventry which was also used by the local Hells Angels.
They came round the pub selling raffle tickets and you sort of felt obliged to buy some. It turned out they did quite a lot of fundraising for the local Children’s Hospice.
I asked what the prizes were, The bloke said
Third prize is a case of beer
Second prize is two cases of beer and a quarter of hash
!st prize is three cases of beer and an ounce

These are astonishing - they look like they are from 100 years later

That’s The Gryphon pub now, Bristol’s premier rock/metal pub. At the other end of Trenchard Street is Black City Records, Bristol’s only heavy metal record shop.

Interesting fact about Steep Street is that it was renamed Colston Street around the time the infamous statue of Colston was erected. I believe a return to the original street name is under discussion.

Difficult to see that there’s anything left from the 1866 pic in the later one.
