My parents having an extremely elaborate picnic a couple of years before I was born.

It looks like every item that they owned was lined up, right down to the Roberts radio, before my Dad screwed his Yashica camera onto a tripod, set the timer going and dashed back and grabbed a cup of tea just before the shutter went off.

The car is my Dad’s old Sunbeam Alpine. As a bachelor he had absolutely all the toys.

Seconds after Danny Ongais hit the wall at over 200 mph during the 1981 Indy 500. He went on to compete in another 6 Indy 500s.
