Great LP that. I have very fond memories of seeing them play with Lush on two or three occasions in 1990. My LP copy tells me I bought in on 12 Feb 1990 which was the day of release. Meanwhile, I am listening to this from the summer of 1989:

Ovoc and very loud.

I saw them with Lush at the Warehouse in Leeds in late 1989 iirc.
Lush opened and me and my mate Steve were the only two people paying any attention to them - went back stage and had drinks with them. Even had a signed set-list from the gig as well.

The Warehouse was probably my favourite Leeds venue - the draught Stella was awesome back in those days.
The House Of Love at the Warehouse is probably my favourite ever gig.:sunglasses:

Review here - 1989-90 was the best year ever.

I used to trade Smiths, New Order and Joy Division bootlegs with Dave Simpson back in the early to mid 1980’s. Stopped around the time of the 1986 New Order tour of the States.

The remasteted (vinyl only) version of Comforts Of Madness is well worth seeking out - I had it on silver vinyl.

Thought I was here for the Messiaen and Telemann, but it’s the Dowland and variations which keep me listening.
