Proper Turkish delight I like but that stuff is awful. Reminds me of being 9 and pigging out on a selection box and then puking up when trying the Turkish delight.

It’s the same stuff that makes your acetate screwdriver handles smell of vomit (after several years of lying in a drawer).
It’s also naturally in butter I believe.
The ingredients are not the primary reason to avoid it though, the taste takes care of that!
Lou’s sister and her sons visited 10 or so years ago and brought some of the disgusting stuff with them. They took around 10kg of Cadbury’s! chocolate back with them which in itself is a pointer to how bad it was.
The American prediliction for the vomit molecule. Its an actual thing, you can find in in products from chocolate to mayo to subway.
There Are half a dozen chocolate flavours across Europe as tastes vary geographically, same with mayo etc.
The yanks do take the biscuit with the vom molecule though.
