A villain who truly enjoyed a days work of villainy
The Wire produced a bevy of Villains. Conflicted / damaged / deranged. Often victims themselves, perhaps this is what worked so well. They were human, warped but not otherworldly, embodying the notion “Hurt People Hurt People”. It was easy to forget you were watching an actor. Many of the characters had lived in the game.

I wouldn’t say that Shaun Ryder is much of a villain.
