Hi, I know next to bugger all about these, but it would be handy for me to play some choir rehearsal files off my phone through the hifi.
I’m told a Bluetooth adapter / receiver is a good way to do it and simply plugs into the back of my Rega Brio RCA inputs.
Something like this? Any thoughts or advice?
I bought one of these Rob, on Al’s @spacehopper’s reco I believe -
TP-Link Bluetooth Stereo Audio Music Receiver Adapter with NFC Technology for iPhones, iPads, Smartphones, Tablets, Laptop and any Bluetooth-enabled device, 3.5 mm or RCA Jacks - Black ( HA100) https://amzn.eu/d/08ilIYbo
Brilliant bit of kit.

While admittedly I haven’t heard any expensive bluetooth gizmos to compare it with - this wee thing has been faultless and sounds great - jobs a good 'un.

I have a IFI audio zen blue v2 , no idea what it’s like as I’ve still not connected my system up but you’re welcome to borrow it for a while.

If you use an android phone, do consider one of the newer bluetooth transmitters with aptx and or LDAC (neither will be of use if you’re an iphone user). Whilst I can never hear much difference between aptx and LDAC, both are an improvement over bluetooth with neither IME.

Being a cheapskate (and to just try out the idea) I bought one of these tiny things. Seems to work well.

I bought a BluDento B2 which I use to stream from lappy into the ANK DAC - it’s so absurdly fucking good (especially with an upgraded PSU), that it now gets more use than any other source!
My rather nice Arcam tuner has been packed-away…
It’s not the cheapest solution, but I doubt there’s a better solution for the very small amount money.
Modern Bluetooth protocols are amazingly good.

We also have the Logitech version, and everyone in the house uses it, both Android and Apple phones, and seem v happy with it

Me too. Its sounds good to me but how much better than these cheap options I have no idea. I suppose the digital outputs will be a bonus for some if they want to run it through a dac.
