I had a Panasonic which lasted about 5 years, it made ok-ish bread. Replaced it with an Aldi one which did exactly the same job.
Only used the Aldi one about 3 times and started to make it by hand, which produces better bread by a considerable margin.
I gave the Aldi one away last week.
Does making your own work out any cheaper these days?
The morrissons bread which is lovely is £1.25 a large loaf which lasts 2 days
No idea how it rates in added salt though
I worked out (roughly) that a large loaf costs me approx £1.60 to make.
I do buy the flour/yeast in bulk, which helps.
Do you use live or dried yeast?
+1 for Panasonic.
Like Micky we bought during the lockdown where it was priceless. Still in regular use.
Les has been staying over the road recently, he’s a good friend of one of our neighbours.
