I realise all of that. I was interested in Guy’s comment about the crash and if he thought a hypothetical Labour led referendum would have had a different result.
The reason I asked that is because in my old haunt (Hartlepool) the two reasons that I was told (and my Dad, who knows and speaks to half of the population) were responsible for the massive leave vote were immigrants (obviously, although there are very few in the town 
) and ‘It’s Cameron, he wants to stay, so we’ll oppose it’

Like the Tories, they were trying to respect the outcome of the referendum. Just as the SNP are with their voters in Scotland.

I’d have thought many Scots will look at Ireland and feel they’d prefer to have the support of the EU rather than the English. I couldn’t blame them.
