In travelling up the M42 just below Birmingham on Friday I was able to admire the large concrete structures either side of the motorway that were part of our recent mastery of big infrastructure, and wondered if they’ll be left as a memorial to HS2. Personally I think they should be preserved and listed or, if not, moved down to London where all the other infrastructure goes.
