Car for my eldest son

My eldest son is in need of a family sized car preferably an estate.
Max £3,000 to spend.
Anyone got anything decent for sale or any suggestions.

Nissan Cube

Skoda Octavia 1.9 Ambiante Estate. £3490

I assume Tim’s son is not in his sixties

He did state Estate.

He also stated Max £3,000

Haggle. You never pay full price.

It’s down south - Not sure where Tim is but its not south coast

90% of Skoda’s will be driven by people with less than 10% of their lives left

My Mazda 6 estate has been great tbh, still going strong after almost 15 years. You can pick one up like it for buttons. Easy to recommend.

You can buy a nice Merc W211 E Class estate for £3k. Obviously you shouldn’t but I just thought I’d mention it.

Anyway, enough silliness. Serious suggestion time:

a bit of a project, and you’d need to get it through an MOT, but what a car when it’s fixed up

I bet that is on its way up in value. If you kept it in good nick, I think you’d have a nice appreciating modern classic there.

It certainly is. The price on the ad is £2995. When it was photographed the price ticket on the windscreen was only £2495.

Has he considered a nice RX-8?
