I always got the impression Ford designed all their cars* with full motorsport getup, then stripped it back to make the basic models, even the Fiesta looks ârightâ in RS trim and missing stuff without it.
*most of the current range excepted obviously since itâs not designed other than by committee

That one, as an immaculate example, should be kept as it is as a warning from history; a sort of wheeled two fingered salute to bores that go on about how much better things used to be, but yes, I generally agree.

Isnât it a weird side effect of the benefits in kind company car system? (I was >1 when that car was made so the finer points of the company car system of the period is not my specialist subject).

none actually, the only glove i have is oven gloves and now a stainless steal mesh glove to protect me from sharp grater things.
