Like their film.
Some of the reps are outstanding Guy and very expensive.
Apparently there was a period once RR owned Bentley (ie from 1933) when they they were selling a rolling ‘Derby’ chassis which could be built up by a number of coachbuilders. B-i-L wonders whether the sample I saw was a barn find of one of those chassis with originally another body on it & it was then built up instead as a 4 1/2L ‘Blower’ Bentley by Petersen.

Look incongruous !
Props to @edd9000 for noticing this. Do you fancy a Cortina? No, you probably don’t. What about a Cortina that was bigger and a bit… heftier? Sort of like this;
Business as usual in here;
…and absolutely not business as usual in here;
It is of course from 'stralia and isn’t a Cortina at all. It’s a Ford Fairmont and this is an especially silly one. It’s an XE Fairmont Ghia ESP 5.8 Litre V8 and one of 178 built. It can be yours for a brisk £85,106.75 at today’s exchange rate which is, I grant you, a lot but it’s fun and I want it. You can buy it for me here.
Did the interior designer sneeze while drawing the steering wheel?
I had an XE V8 a few years ago. Not as fast as they should have been. Actually just a fat Granada.
Slightly wider and longer. Mahoosive boot because Straya reasons.
Came in 3.6, 4.1, 5.0, and the aforementioned 5.8.
It was where the Mad Max line came from…”It’s the last of the V8s”.
My Taxi in Adelaide was the previous gen XD…
Moar similar to the Granada.
Depends which Cortina.
That’s pretty nice. Suiting the gentleman for whom the DB5 is a bit chavvy.
First one in ten years I’ve seen for sale, died and gone to heaven
Tempted?
More than, but it’s two years to early, it would be my pension lump sum present to self:)
Just do it. Retirement looming and there won’t be another around for at least 10 years. Life’s too short.
