Had a look at this one the other day. A late export 300tdi from 2003. Although converted it needs 9 grand of work, but still in budget. Contender No1 at the moment.

What’s the £9K for - rotten chassis and bulkhead, shagged engine, fucked gearbox, worn-out UJs, diff and hubs? All of the above?
I was admiring that on Facebook.
All 4 doors, respray plus interior kit for camper. Tent, rack and external roll cage to be removed.

Yep, deposit, rest early May. TD5 and not buggered around, FSH and all the known weaknesses dealt with. As a base vehicle, its tops, the only addition I’ll make to the base is a heated front windscreen, the rest will be spent on the convertion.
