Aside from the outsized wheels, that’s a bit nice
Just needs an alucab roof.
Making me pine for my A-plate one, cream, 2.25 NA diesel, truly terrible car, and I still miss it to this very day…
“Hello, I’d like to die in the coolest fireball in human history please”
I suspect it’s terrifying but it’s also peak seventies magnificence. It’s on Bonhams if you’re feeling rich.
I’ve got all the wants!
Car identification request please - my eldest wants to know which Lambo is in the foreground, and what the lime green thing in the background is (I think it might be a Corvette but not 100%, nor on which model):
The Lambo is a Gallardo, the predecessor to the Huracan. The green car is a Corvette but not sure on the model (ZR1?).
The corvette reminds me of my old boss Tony Rudd at Lotus. They designed the 4-cam engine for the 80s ZR1 and he had a cutaway in the anteroom to his office.
I was having a look at it whilst early for a meeting and noticed it had 2 HUGE throttle butterflies into the plenum and one about 20mm diameter.
I asked him if it was there to give it better throttle response and he gave me a typical sideways look and explained that during one of the federal pollution tests the big ones stayed closed and just the teensy one opened.
Well my brief foray into the world of electric vehicles with the Mustang has come to an end and the hire company have swapped if for an A-Class, which, tbh is much more my thing. The Mustang did have some nice features, but adaptive cruise control was absolutely terrifying to the point of uselessness.
Mmm…MOT unit 2020
Yeah Mot exempt to but checked every year according to seller.
Was originally looking for Hyundais and saw only two Hillmans on autotrader. Thought ooh wonder if they are Avengers ?
Of course, I forgot about the exemption.
Had a purple one of those, nearly snapped my shin in half trying to start the poxy thing with the crank handle
We had the estate version in the mid sixties but it didn’t have a starting handle. Are you sure you’re not thinking of the Model T you got as a retirement present?
I had a MK1 Range Rover back in the 70s, that had a starting handle
