Car Wants (maybe once, but now just anything Jim can find on the internet. 🙄)

I’ve seen loads of TVR’s recently, must be something in the air!

Safest place for it - it’d only be trying to kill the owner if it was actually on the road

A lovely looking conversion but keeping the original aero, inevitable with retro styling, leaves it with seriously scary levels of lift. The original 2.2L (iirc) engine in the 911 S gave it a high enough top speed to be at a level with almost no grip - as demonstrated to his F2 mechanic by Niki Lauda on the motorway at high speed by quickly turning the steering - it just skidded and kept going straight because almost no load on the tyres.
I am glad it wasn’t me to whom he demonstarted it…

I had a big valve 4.3 Griffith which is mechanically identical, just a different body.
It was reliable when I had it, the only limit was it had a high compression engine and some fuel left it pinking (detonation) but it was a fun daily, though my boss told me I’d kill myself in it.

Fol#2 Lauren is after a project… :grimacing:

 I suspect that these have been well maintained though. Maybe she wants something more like this

I had an S2, sadly sans Pasha, 20ish years ago. Was a very endearing thing, would have another if the stars aligned.

Still one of the best-looking cars ever made - nothing else Porsche has done since got near the balance of looks, especially of the early cars.
