Cheap, ok-sounding class d amp

I’d like to buy a cheapish, cool (for the summer) half decent amp to drive Triangle Volante floorstanding speakers. I’ve got a Viva Solista integrated but I don’t listen to music as much as I used to & if I can live with something smaller/less faffy/less furnace-like then I’ll sell it.

The amp can be integrated or just power - I’ve got an old Yamaha preamp in the cellar.

Could I ask for your experience/suggestions? Anyone got anything they’d like to sell? I’ll be in the UK next week (Bedford).

Thanks :+1:

I’ve an Audiophonics NCore NC122 going spare if of interest?

I’ve got a mint Marantz PM4 that I could be persuaded to part with.

Dunno how cheap you mean

I had a Peachtree nova and I hugely enjoyed it in a system with some vintage monitor audio speakers.

The USB DAC was also pretty bloody good

Thanks Chris - that’s the sort of thing. I’ll look into it.

I have a nobsound A5 - it has a volumed sub out a plus high pass filter included

Similar sq to the fosi - with extras if you use a sub

I’ve got the ZA3 and the V3 monos but IMHO the monos aren’t very good.

The Fosi stuff is massively overhyped on pfm and the Mav but for just over £100 it’s good value.

If you’re going to Jim’s you’re welcome to borrow the ZA3 to see what you think of it and then just post it back to me?

Thanks very much Chris - I can’t get to the bake-off I’m afraid but as you say, for £100 it’s worth a shot.

300w x2

It’s like car stereos from the 90’s
