The kids bought me a Naim CD player and power supply from the local branch of Crack Converters. They checked the second hand prices and then haggled it down to £200 for the pair as it had been there for yonks 
(Makes me proud that).
Dunno if it works yet as I need a SNAIC. If it does it is a bargain as it is all in cracking condition.

You think ahead and supply a whole list to your significant other of vinyl that you would like to get as presents at Christmas.
Simple enough people ask her what you want and you get a pile of great records to play.
What really happens is you get a pile of rubbish that is clearly picked up at Sainsbury’s with the weekly shop.
It’s not like amazon can’t supply everything I wanted easily.
