It was a bit worrying to start as he made a judgement about what to expect - tourist in a busy art of town, not wanting to buy but wanting a battery. Then couldnât get the back off. Eventually realising it wasnât a ÂŁ2 knockoff. The realisation was obvious and unnecessary. He was a wanker wanting to cover his embarrassment.

Bit different, alpha sources in little glass tubes, so no danger.
But I have a counter at work and sometimes have to work on pretty âhotâ watches. Plenty of precautions and safety equipment, unlike when no one knew of the dangers.
This is an interesting read, the first time workers in the USA successfully sued a company for health reasons.

Sadly Helm are permanently out of stock of everything - a lot of micros do this, get loads of publicity for a design, and then never restock it, flit on to the next batch of 250⌠and on⌠and onâŚ
My hardened-steel-German-watch Want has finally been resolved.
I tried very hard to fall in love with various Sinns (insert joke here), but at the end of the day I:
a) want a centre-minute chronograph
b) am a huge twat, and invariably ignore objective expert advice
c) love the look of Damaskos + theyâre half the price of equivalents
The clincher was dropping Damasko a line to enquire about the possibility of a custom one-off - I didnât expect much - few companies reply to emails, at best I expected either a curt ânoâ, or a doubling in the base price.
What I got was a reply within half an hour, a yes, and just a Eu50 surcharge to fit different chrono hands and a different bezel from other ranges - 4-6 weeks to wait.
SQUEEEE!!! 
On the right is standard DC80, on the left with red chronograph hands and 12 hour bezel from DC66/7 range.
NB: Free, no-expenses-paid walking holiday to Hubei for the first person who says " prefer the original "âŚ

I like that. And itâs comforting for the general public to know that, despite the fact we are all going to die of corolla watsit in the next few months, it has done nothing to diminish your appetite for watch purchasing. Bravo !

It is the very definition of insanity: Iâm not even going to LARP as a sane person. 40, 50 years ago I would probably have been described as âsuffering a nervous-breakdownâ.
