Horrific. Clearly your taste has slipped to the point where you don’t deserve that nice Zenith and I therefore expect you to drop it off in due course, so I can appreciate it for you.
Meh…one man’s meat…etc
Keep your meat to yourself please.
Not my cup of tea and I would have thought Maureen would have wanted moar owange for it to be accepted into his taste dungeon.
I am disappoint.
When you’re young, old, worn-out, beat-up things have a kind of romantic air of history and timelessness…
Once you’re an old, worn-out, beat-up thing yourself : not so much…
Yeah, the brittle is a concern (less so with carbon composites). But this is why my only carbon-cased watch cost £89. I have, however, bought some carbon deployant clasps from Formex to try. When they arrived, the bubble-packet had a tyre mark right over it, and one of them was cracked… I actually think that’s pretty good; and Formex have sent a replacement…
Ya made me look… And actually all the typography of the original is more Deco than Bauhaus, but then Deco was a broad artistic and stylistic trend into which the much-more rigidly defined Bauhaus style nests fairly comfortably, so that figures, but also, by 1937, if you’d produced a watch in strict Bauhaus style you’d not have sold many, and quite possibly have been carted-off to a concentration camp.
Wish I was joking…
Saw these and they look interesting.
How about treating Stronzetto to Jason King’s watch and cheque book - pretty damn low estimate TBH
(FYI The watch is near-worthless, per se.)
I’ve yet to actually try one on anything. I ordered them back in May - Formex were out of stock at the time, also, COVID… Then they changed management… and then overall design direction… So they came a few days ago, and most of the watches I was going to use them with are probably going to go up for sale… Usual madness.
Will get some pics and thoughts up in due course. These ones are unbranded, which seems sensible.
You time yourself ? It’s a hobby I suppose
The pic of the watch would look much better taken in natural light.
Next time you have a shit in the woods please post another pic,
What’s the point of white gold?
Keeps case refinishers in work
Reassuringly moar expencive
Makes watch companies a shit ton of cash, as does any gold/platinum watch.
Heft sans bling.
I’d much rather see a cuckoo clock wristwatch
