Again though it just makes me think of the lush enamel dial spring drives which are still presage but too expensive. Just love them.

Holds no appeal for me at-all, and certainly not something I’d pay a premium for - I’d sooner pay-out for one of GS’ high-end quartz movements.
Bet they’re an expensive PITA to service, too.
I quite like the idea but if it had a cheaper movement it would be better for me.
Like you though I really shouldn’t own a dress watch. Thing is I’m actually drawn to a lot of stuff that I’d have no business wearing.
Worth paying a premium for Seikos Arita Porcelain dials imho…

I do have one dress watch - an Edox automatic moonphase, lovely thing that cost peanuts, it’s made it to two funerals in two years of ownership, so fully justifies its existence!
I tried to paint myself into a corner early on with “one watch to rule them all”, but there’s just too much nice Stuff 
for that to have worked-out, so now I just try and keep things in control and not spend too much in one go unless something major is sold…

(I didn’t polish that and it shows no signs of ever being polished inside. So that was done by hand before electricity ffs!)
