They think of every extra
40s for sure.
That is lovely, not usually a fan of gold watches.
I have stainless steel one. It was given to me by my Grandfather when I was born. My Mother always wore it. I never knew it was mine until my older sister turned up wearing it mysteriously and my younger sister (executor for the estate) rescued it and sent it on to me. It is really a boy’s watch in my view.
It sold for £1950 on the hammer
£2418 inc comm + VAT
Seems a bargain to my untrained eye.
30s-40s Rolex and others are often good value. I bought my wife a JLC cocktail watch, and a Rolex one for under £150 each.
Seems a lot to me, no one wants these ‘boy’ sized Rolex watches. I have one purchased in Singapore by someone in the navy. Has the original paper work, posted to the ship, the import paperwork at stanstead airport, original box, everything. Real history. But it’s tiny and no one wants it
Yes I do although ironically as I’m the least tactical morherfucker I know.
It’s not as nice as that one in the picture though.
Maybe I should get a casioak just to complete the look.
Well looks like I can finally sleep at night.
New reborn version of the old company that had a young Mr Patek with them.
The indicator is a seven day power reserve on the original pocket watch they have copied. So wind it every Sunday and then watch the power drop as it also indicates the day.
The sub dial is still a little shit though with the extra line.
Amazing how badly their own website explains that - but then, that’s hardly unusual: watch company websites are basically a “How Not To” guide to all the Rong you can inflict on an internet audience…
This is true, YouTube channels are where I chose to go. Just have to put up with Americans, sycophants and people repeating marketing blurb as if it is meaningful. The good ones at least have decent photography and video and get round to demonstrating the watch.
Just watched a visit to the ALS factory, very interesting piece on their Digital watch and a couple of others.
Which auction house please?
Chortle, Rolex millionaire fans.
