Cocks on clocks (Part the Second)

CW continue to impress, and this is definitely no exception. :+1:

I really like my dark blue dial Twelve. I was going to buy a PRX before the Twelve came out. Tried a PRX on and it just looked and felt cheap on my wrist. I bought the CW half expecting to return for a refund. I made up my mind with 10 seconds that it was a keeper.

I bought and sold a PRX
Not sure if they used a cheap steel for the bracelet but I couldn’t wear it, caused eczema issues.
Also why I can’t wear leather straps
I haven’t tried the CW bracelet though.

I don’t like them. Big and bland.
Seems a lot of people do.

Plastic tat or marketing genius?

https://www.swatch.com/en-gb/bioceramic-scuba-fifty-fathoms.html

I like the aesthetics of whitebread watches but their marketing is bordering on Rolex levels of disingenuous so I’ve always shied away from paupering myself for what is a basic 3 hand dive watch.
Now I can have a garish plastic version for 400 of your American dollars.
It is an auto though so there’s that.

I don’t normally click on these links because the goods proffered will invariably be both comical and hideous. Absent mindedly I clicked on this one.

Swatch group seem to bre doing all they can to trash the reputations of the brands they own.

About as brittle, apparently

If you don’t like the plastic get an Ali knockoff. Some of those are make of chinesium pot metal which is a step up really.
I have a Sheitling endurance of this ilk that I use when fucking up my garden or doing the tip run that I bought while not quite all there a few years back. It eats batteries but steadfastly refuses to die. Probably because it’s made of badly painted metal and not recycled dildos or whatever.

On the wait list for one of those.
Oh no. It’s called an expression of interest.
There are no wait lists.

There were 5 full page ads in the Guardian today. Loads already on eBay for a grand or more. I can kind of see the attraction with the Omega ones but I don’t think they are doing Blancpain’s rep any favours.

It does seem to detract from their more spendy brands.
Bio ceramic sounds a right load of old bollocks.

LOL, ā€œbio ceramicā€ seems to mean polyurethane with an aluminium oxide filler. High tech? Not.

The moonswatch has had some horrendous quality problems, pushers falling off, colour transferring on to wrists, generally falling apart and being shit sort of stuff. The Aliexpress rip offs are way better quality for £20.

Can’t imagine that the blancpain tie in will be any better. At least that there’s no pushers to fall off.

They are fucking mingin.

This is true.

Honestly if I wanted a cheap Blancpain looky likey I’d buy the Steeldive for Ā£150.

Or the Pagani for a ton

Ugh, a rip-off design with an unlicensed car name on it.

There are nice watches available out there for the price of all this godawful tat.
