I have a real soft spot for FM however they are ridiculously priced new and most pre owned in the UK are more pedestrian looking.
There’s also an hideous Roger Dubois on watchfinder for 3.5k. A square dive watch with what looks like a rotating bezel. No idea how that works but it intrigues me so don’t worry I’m not going all sensible.

Having recently sold my Tudor FXD I replaced it with an IWC Aquatimer. A manageable 42mm however Its a chunky beast at 15mm thick but with that you get a lovely depth to the dial and the inner rotating bezel which gives it a real wrist presence and it has a real feel of quality engineering. Even the rubber strap is exceptional.

Couple of random things.
A friend sent me a picture of his old Panerai. I would guess ~2000, B or C series. At the time the white dials just didn’t work for me or frankly anyone but him.
but now it pops pretty good for me.

Pt on a Pt bracelet, cloisonné enamel dial. Doubtless 6 figures but it’s a hell of a thing.
